Parliamentary Standing Committee of Finance Ministry  gives it Report on LIC Act Amendment Bill. It says the Capital of LIC can be increased to Rs 100 Crores but Government alone should give and even if there is any future need, it can be done only by the Government with the Parliament Approval. The Report categorically told that the Public Sector Character of LIC must be preserved. The Report also said Government Guarantee to LIC should not be withdrawn and the  sharing of  95 % Surplus to Policy holders must continue. The unanimous Report by the  Parliamentary Standing Committee of Finance Ministry   is another victory to the Struggles of AIIEA
