AIIEA DELEGATION MEETS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ( PERSONNEL)

AIIEA  DELEGATION MEETS  EXECUTIVE  DIRECTOR ( PERSONNEL)

Shri M.R.Kumar, who has taken over as Executive Director (Personnel), LICI, Mumbai was on a visit  to  Hyderabad on 20th June 2012. AIIEA Delegation consisting of Com K.Venu Gopal, General Secretary, Com V.Ramesh, Joint Secretary, Com B.Rajendra kumar, Vice President and Com Clement Xavier Das, General Secretary, SCZIEF met him in the afternoon.

ONE MORE OPTION FOR PENSION.
AIIEA Delegation informed the ED(P) that the issue of One More Option for pension is to be taken up early for a solution. We also informed him that the GIPSA representing the four PSU general insurance companies has also decided to move on this issue. Hence it would be the proper time to take up with the government once again to provide a solution.

INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING PL ENCASHMENT
ED (Personnel) informed that after the decision of the Board to withdraw the mandatory clause of 15 days PL for availing PL Encashment, LIC approached the government (since this is a modification in the original scheme) and the clearance from the government is expected very soon. He informed that the matter is being followed up regularly and expressed confidence that the instructions will be issued early.

UPGRADATION OF RPT EMPLOYEES:
AIIEA Delegation informed ED(P) about the discussions we had with the then ED(P) and other officials of the Personnel Department in May 2011 and March 2012, for a Scheme for up gradation of RPTs. We informed the ED(P) that there are around 1680 Regular Part Time employees working in various offices of LIC and a scheme can be evolved allocating certain duties to these employees. ED(P) agreed to have further discussions in order to resolve the issue.

We have also discussed the other pending issues like absorption of temporary substaff in Asansol and Burdwan Divisions  where the test could not be conduced, recruitment of assistants in all  the divisions which has become an immediate necessity, payment of TA/DA to employees on election duties on the days of polling, fixation of ex-servicemen, improvements in the Pension Scheme and Increase in Exgratia Payment for Pre 01.01.1986 retirees, issues relating to LTC  and other issues.
