AIIEA CONDEMNS THE ARREST OF ANNA HAZARE

All India Insurance Employees’ Association (AIIEA) condemns the arrest of Shri Anna Hazare and the ban on the hunger strike in Delhi. AIIEA feels that this as an attack on the democratic rights of citizens to protest peacefully. The arrest shows how the Government at the centre is intolerant to any anti-corruption movement.

AIIEA calls upon the people and the working class of the country that a strong popular movement has to be built up to ensure that an effective legislation is adopted by parliament to curb corruption at high places.
