Dear Comrades,

The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has called for a ONE DAY NATION WIDE STRIKE on 5^th August 2011.  Nearly 10 lakh Officers and employees of Banking sector are participating in this strike in protest against the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill 2011 and other moves of the government to further liberalise the banking sector in India.

The government’s policy of liberalisation of financial sector is going to help the International Finance capital to gain further control over the savings of the people of the country.

AIIEA calls upon all the units to hold solidarity demonstrations during lunch recess on 5^th August 2011 to join this protest against the government’s policy of liberalisation of financial sector.
