L.I.C  Act (Amendment)  Bill  2009

We  herein  below  reproduce  the  Message  received  from  All  India  Insurance  Employees’ Association.

 

 Government accepted major concerns raised by A.I.I.E.A and almost all the recommendations of Standing Committee including retention of Sovereign Guarantee, power to open offices  with L.I.C, any further raise in equity only through Parliamentary approval. On  Surplus distribution, Government clarified  that the present amendment will be for prospective policyholders only. This is an advancement of our movement. STRIKE PROPASAL WITHDRAWN. Hold  Gate Meetings tomorrow and explain the advancement secured.
